There are different categories of the J1 Visa depending on what the foreigners would be doing in the USA – teaching (J1 Teacher / J1 Professor), study (J1 Secondary School Student / J1 College and University Student), conduct research (J1 Research Scholar / J1 Short-Term Scholar), demonstrate special skills (J1 Specialist / J1 Au Pair / J1 Camp Counselor / J1 Physician), specific purposes ( J1 Government Visitor / J1 International Visitor / J1 Summer Work Travel), or develop career skills through on-the-job training (J1 Intern / J1 Trainee). There are 2 programs we offer according to the needs of the international interested in going to the U.S. and according to his/her field of study/work.
DIFFERENCE IN THE ARCHITECT-US CAREER TRAINING PROGRAMS
The Architect-US J1 Visa Program is for those internationals that have gotten an offer to do an internship / gain professional experience at a company in the USA. Unlike our Job+J1 Visa Program, there are almost no restrictions concerning the field of study/work of the applicant. We request the information of the company and contact person there in order to start the process with them by verifying that the company is eligible to host a J1 participant while someone from our team verifies your eligibility for the J1 Intern / Trainee Visa (when you upload the documents to our File Uploader, once you have registered).
The Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program is exclusive to Architects, as it goes a step farther than only facilitating the J1 Visa; this Program is for Architects that do not have an offer from a U.S.-based company and want our help in finding and securing opportunities (and we handle the J1 Visa later on). Due to the Architectural background and expertise of (part of) the Architect-US team, we are able to provide exclusive opportunities for our candidates. Furthermore, Architect-US mentors the internationals and provides guidance throughout the selection processes until securing an offer that suits the candidates at a reputable American company. We will review your cv and portfolio to make sure both meet the American standards and make you stand out from the crowd.
