If you love immersive experiences Sleep No More at the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea, NY, provides an interactive evening that is engaging, unique and intense. I attended with a friend and we really liked it, I think it’s still one of the most mysterious shows I’ve ever seen and hear.
I recommend you to read a summary of Shakespeare story – so that you know the general story – and you know who you might want to follow during the show. There is a Wikipedia link to the show and other online articles for anyone who would like more details on the show’s history or storyline before or after attending a performance. Please keep in mind that you may have to follow the performances down hallways and into different rooms since some don’t stay in the same room. (It could count as an afternoon in the gym! haha..)
The set was spectacular. From the moment we stepped into the «hotel,» we felt like we were in another time and place. The quality of the actors was very high. The set, the music, and the actors make a surreal and amazing immersive experience!
I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone that is looking to do something that is completely wacky and different. I can’t say much about what happens as it will give it away and spoil the experience, but you need to be open-minded and just go with the flow!
If you have any sense of adventure, this is theatre you don’t want to miss!!
