Columbus is a beautiful independent drama directed by Kogonada, that was released in August 2017. The movie takes place in Columbus – Indiana, where many renowned modern architectural buildings has been designed. The movie beautifully films architecture, especially Eero Saarinen‘s masterpieces. Both main characters have a very different relationship to architecture. One is a young girl truly passionate by architecture, who dreams of studying architecture. The second is the son of a famous architect, and hates architecture as much as he hates his father who he hasn’t seen for years.
Their encounter will makes an interesting conflicting discussion about architecture and life.
