Thanksgiving in Miami

A city with many cultures living together, a city connected by a huge an dense system of roads that penetrate the urbanism like if it was a living organism.

Thanksgiving is a National  holiday in the United States. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest. In the United States, it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.

For a lot of people it is the first holiday of many to come until the end of the year. Every year they give us some vacation days to celebrate the holidays. These vacation days, plus the weekend, gave me enough days for a nice road trip which I have found is the most affordable way to travel for me.

For this reason I decided to take a road trip from Asheville NC to Miami Fl. The trip is approximately 1.560 miles (2.400 km) total and around 12 hours driving. It is a big trip with a lot of driving but it is worth it for sure. Miami is one of the greatest cities in the States, not only because of its unique geographical location, but also because of the history, architecture, culture vegetation, art and so on…..

It was a great experience for sure, I discovered a city where it is almost hard to find English speaking people. A city with many cultures living together, a city connected by a huge an dense system of roads that penetrate the urbanism like if it was a living organism. A city that will for sure require a second trip in the future.
