One of the latest OMA‘s projects involved the restructure of a governmental building, Rijnstraat 8, dating from 1990s. The main idea was to create innovative workspaces that can integrate multiple Dutch ministries in one building.
It seems that OMA aimed to combine practicality with innovation and modernization. Some of the key elements of the building are acid-yellow escalators, angular black staircases and large open-plan areas. It’s definitely a pleasure to work in such a modern and flexible environment.
