Hi!
I have been in the United States a month now and what a busy month it has been! I moved into an apartment in Hoboken and have been enjoying exploring the neighbourhood and taking part in local events- there is so much going on! I love my new running route along the waterfront which has amazing views of the Manhattan skyline! I attached a picture of the view closest to my apartment.
Compared to Scotland, it has been so warm and sunny! Feels like a real summer. To take advantage of the weather I visited the Jersey Shore this past weekend. I spent a day at Point Pleasant Beach, exploring the boardwalk, playing in the arcades and swimming in the ocean- something you cannot do in Scotland! I was told Asbury Park had an up-and-coming arts and music scene so spent an evening there and I was not disappointed. I tried some interesting Korean-fusion food and saw a some local bands perform at a cool venue. I hope to enjoy the beach and Asbury Park again soon before the summer disappears!
