Hello!
It’s been already one month since we arrived, and I’ve realized how lucky we have been for having arrived just when the summer was starting here. The city is in its best moment and everyone take advantage of the great weather to do outdoor activities and enjoy the nature.
Most of all, you could find lots of activities to do for free, and one of these is an initiative taken by the Metropolitan Opera of New York consisting on bringing the opera to the parks of New York. It seemed to be a good combination between assisting to a spectacle that you hardly ever have the opportunity to see, and spending the evening in a natural environment, so we decided to give it a try.
The day we went, the opera was acting in the Socrates Sculptures Park in Astoria, and by the time we arrived it was already full of people bringing their picnics. We enjoyed an amazing performance of some fragments of well-known operas, and afterwards we went for a walk throughout the park.
Every day here there are plenty of new things to do, and we are decided to live the summer of our lives!
