I have recently moved to West Asheville. This neighborhood is closer to downtown and my job, which means many more activity options and the possibility of exploring the city from a closer perspective.
Asheville is a very friendly city, it is not so big but the amount of activity found on the streets is similar or greater than that found on bigger cities. This neighborhood is very close to the river art district, which is a very interesting area by the river side where many local artist have their studios.
It takes me ten minutes every morning to get to my job, however on my way I get to drive through the river art district and it´s very interesting to somehow perceived the work going on in the studios and around them.
Due to the amount of artists concentration the ever changing streets seem to be alive. Also the city happens to be in the mountains so here I get the chance to go on a hike almost every weekend.
Last weekend some friends took me to this incredible place where you get to swim in the river. It is an amazing place.
